KonBoot Fist of all we have to make the usb drive bootable, to do this download 'PeToUSB' and follow the instructions. Second needed is grubinst and grub4dos. Use grubinst to and install it to your usb drive then open grub4dos and copy the file 'grldr' to the root of the drive and then create a text file called 'menu.lst' Instructions to add software 1. Ophcrack To add ophcrack to my multi boot drive I didn’t created a bootable ophcrack usb, what I did was just copying the files from the cd ophcrack vista. These are the files needed. First copy the folder “tables” from the cd to the root of the drive Then open the folder boot from the cd and copy the files bzImage and rootfs.gz to the folder “tables” on the usb drive. Create a tile called “ophcrack.lst” in the folder “tables” and add these lines to the file title Ophcrack Graphic mode - automatic kernel /tables/bzImage rw root=/dev/null vga=normal lang=C kmap=us screen=1024x768x16 autologin initrd=/tables/rootfs.gz title Ophcrack Graphic mode - manual kernel /oph/bzImage rw root=/dev/null vga=normal autologin initrd=/oph/rootfs.gz title Ophcrack Text mode kernel /tables/bzImage rw root=/dev/null vga=normal screen=text autologin initrd=/tables/rootfs.gz title kernel title Main Menu root (hd0,0) configfile /Menu.lst to finish add the following lines to the menu.lst title Ophcrack configfile /tables/ophcrack.lst note: in the folder tables you can have the vista tables and the xp tables and it will work just fine 2. Knoppix 6 Open the knoppix 6 cd and copy the folder “KNOPPIX” to the root of the usb drive Then open the folder boot on the cd and copy the files “linux” and “minirt.gz” to the folder “KNOPPIX” located in the usb drive Create a text file called “knoppix.lst” and add the following lines title adriane kernel /KNOPPIX/linux ramdisk_size=100000 lang=en vt.default_utf8=0 apm=power-off vga=0x311 nomce quiet loglevel=0 nolapic_timer adriane initrd=/KNOPPIX/minirt.gz title knoppix kernel /KNOPPIX/linux APPEND ramdisk_size=100000 lang=en vt.default_utf8=0 apm=power-off vga=791 nomce quiet loglevel=0 nolapic_timer initrd=/KNOPPIX/minirt.gz title fb1024x768 kernel /KNOPPIX/linux APPEND ramdisk_size=100000 lang=en vt.default_utf8=0 apm=power-off vga=791 xmodule=fbdev nomce quiet loglevel=0 nolapic_timer initrd=/KNOPPIX/minirt.gz title fb1280x1024 kernel /KNOPPIX/linux APPEND ramdisk_size=100000 lang=en vt.default_utf8=0 apm=power-off vga=794 xmodule=fbdev nomce quiet loglevel=0 nolapic_timer initrd=/KNOPPIX/minirt.gz title fb800x600 kernel /KNOPPIX/linux APPEND ramdisk_size=100000 lang=en vt.default_utf8=0 apm=power-off vga=788 xmodule=fbdev nomce quiet loglevel=0 nolapic_timer initrd=/KNOPPIX/minirt.gz title kernel title Main Menu root (hd0,0) configfile /Menu.lst Now edit the file “menu.lst” and add the following title Knoppix 6 configfile /KNOPPIX/knoppix.lst 3. Then I added some iso files to the usb drive in the folder called “images”and edit menu.lst with the following lines title System Rescue CD 1.2.3 x86 map (hd0,0)/images/systemrescuecd-x86-1.2.3.iso (hd32) map --hook root (hd32) chainloader () title Ultimate Boot CD 4.1.1 map (hd0,0)/images/ubcd411.iso (hd32) map --hook root (hd32) chainloader () title Acronis True Image 10 map (hd0,0)/images/Acronis10.iso (hd32) map --hook root (hd32) chainloader () title VistaPE map (hd0,0)/images/VistaPE.iso (hd32) map --hook root (hd32) chainloader () title Partition Commander 10 map (hd0,0)/images/pc10.iso (hd32) map --hook root (hd32) chainloader () title Vista 32 Recovery Disk map (hd0,0) /images/Vista32Recovery.iso (hd32) map --hook root (hd32) chainloader (hd32) map (hd1) (hd0) map --hook rootnoverify (hd32) title Vista 64 Recovery Disk map (hd0,0) /images/Vista64Recovery.iso (hd32) map --hook root (hd32) chainloader (hd32) map (hd1) (hd0) map --hook rootnoverify (hd32) title Windows 7 32 Recovery Disk map (hd0,0) /images/7-32Recovery.iso (hd32) map --hook root (hd32) chainloader (hd32) map (hd1) (hd0) map --hook rootnoverify (hd32) title Windows 7 64 Recovery Disk map (hd0,0) /images/7-64Recovery.iso (hd32) map --hook root (hd32) chainloader (hd32) map (hd1) (hd0) map --hook rootnoverify (hd32) note: all isos were tested and working 4. Konboot
I added the floppy konboot image to the “image” folder title Kon-Boot-test map --mem /images/FD0-konboot-v1.1-2in1.img (fd0) map --hook chainloader (fd0)+1 map (hd1) (hd0) map --hook rootnoverify (fd0) 5. To finish my “menu.lst” I added the command to reboot and shutdown title reboot savedefault --wait=2 reboot title shutdown halt I'll be adding soon how to add backtrak 4 pre relese, ubcd4win and more Check my other post to do a USB Multi Boot Using Syslinux and also Opening Grub4Dos From SysLinux
